Igor Pokrajac vs James Irvin

Irvin got taken down in the early first round but reverses the position. James Irvin lost the position which allowed Pokrajac to stand up. Pokrajac seemed to look better in their stand-up war. While Irvin now defending the strikes, Pokrajac took him down again and immediately went to side control. Irvin was scrambling to get back up and gave his back in the process resulting to Pokrajac submitting him via rear-naked choke.

Matt Riddle vs DaMarques Johnson

Johnson accidentally pawed Riddle in the eye early in the first round the reason why referee temporarily paused the fight to let Riddle recover. When Riddle was ready, the fight continued. In a short period of time, he caught Johnson’s kick and took him down. From his back, Johnson tried to defend the strikes of Riddle. Johnson got back on his feet but again been took down by Riddle. Riddle dominated his opponent on the ground, looking like he won that round. Johnson rocked Riddle in the mid second round but was not enough to put Riddle to sleep. Most of the time, the fight was on the ground with Riddle on top delivering huge elbows resulting to a huge mouse on Johnson’s eye. Riddle won via TKO

Jacob Volkman vs Paul Kelly

First second and third round was pretty much the same for both these fighters as they fought most of the time on the ground, battling for positions. However, Jacob Volkman looked pretty much better in their battle because of more damage inflicted. Kelly never won a round in this fight resulting a win for Volkman via unanimous decision.

Takanori Gomi vs Tyson Griffen

Both fighters were cautious and just feeling out each other using lots of feints. Gomi landed a couple of solid shots to the body. Gomi jabbed his opponent then went to the body again. Gomi looked really good exchanging shots with Griffen, then suddenly Gomi dropped Griffen flat because of the solid right hook on his opponent’s chin. Gomi won via KO.

Yushin Okami vs Mark Munoz

Munoz and Okami fought most of the first round on their feet because of Okami’s excellent take down defense. Munoz finally got a take down in the middle part of the round but Okami easily got back up. The round ended with a close fight. Start of the second round, almost the same story as the first, until Munoz landed a left hook that collapsed the Japanese fighter. Munoz saw the opportunity and rushed towards his opponent but Okami took him down temporarily and weathered his opponents momentum. The fighters ended up standing, Munoz attempting a take-down and Okami stuffing all of them. Early in the 3rd round, Okami became more aggressive unloading combinations as Munoz was trapped against the cage. Munoz still is not giving up on taking Okami down, but still weren’t finding any luck from it. Munoz stepped forward and tried to hit Okami without caution and hands down, Okami landed a clean shot directly on Munoz’ chin. Munoz scrambled and fought for his life and again tried to take Okami down but again stuffed. Okami did more damage than Munoz and was successful in almost all his opponent’s take down attempts, resulting his win via split decision.

MAIN EVENT: Vladimir Matyushenko vs Jon Jones

1st round,both fighters are exchanging blows but Jones is getting the better of it, successfully landing low kicks and a spinning back kick. The more aggressive Jon Jones tripped Vladimir to the flood and took him down. Matyushenko is trying to work on Jones’ right arm but Jones passes his guard to side control. Fighting for a better position, Jones then got a crucifix and then delivered numerous elbows to the head. The referee stopped the fight resulting to Jon Jones winning via TKO due to unanswered elbows.
