With less than a year after their engagement, Katy Perry and Russel Brand finally tied the knot on October 23 near the same place where the popular British comedian proposed to the famous American singer at Ranthambore National Park in Jaipur, India. This park is sanctuary to royal tigers and home to other wildlife animals amidst scenic ruins – just the perfect treat for their selected guests to tour around a day before the wedding.
Unlike most celebrity couples, Katy Perry and Russel Brand did not sign any pre-nuptial agreement. At age 35, it seemed that the lady killer Russel is already convinced of his “forever after” love for his bride who just turned 26 years old two days after their wedding. Prior to their first encounter in Russel’s film “Get Him to the Greek” in 2008 in which Katy did a cameo, Russel is already infamous for his dating sprees thus earning for himself the “Shagger of the Year” award for three consecutive years from 2006 until 2008. They met again in the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009 when Russel hosted the event. They have become inseparable since then and yet cynics are already wondering if the marriage will last.
The couple would surely have talented offsprings since they are both multi-talented. Katy also writes her own songs and plays the guitar and the piano. Meanwhile Russel has already won several awards, one of which is the 2008 British Comedy Awards for Best Live Stand-up category. Aside from stand-up, he is also into presenting as a video jock, hosting and even writing for a column.
The websites and Twitter accounts of Katy Perry and Russel Brand would surely be in the watchlist of fans who are hungry for more details of the recently concluded but very private wedding since there are neither write-ups nor photos yet of the wedding proper itself.
