The last UFC game made a huge impact in the gaming world, winning best individual sports game in VGA (Video Gaming Awards) 2009. It also has become one of the most played games in 2009. These are the reasons why it is a tough one to follow. But makers of Undisputed 2010 did a really good job in improving the game. Of course, the game still have rooms for improvement but undoubtedly this fighting game is still a force to be reckoned with. In fact, once you play it, you won’t go back on playing the 2009 game anymore for the gameplay will look so poor and sucked compared to Undisputed 2010. The makers improved a lot of things from last year’s game for it to exceed the gamers’ expectations.

Changes in gameplay:
Changes in career mode:
The career mode is also improved in so many ways. You can now create a player with different moves and skills. You are not limited anymore to use 2 from 6 sets of discipline. Instead, you are now able choose and acquire as much moves/techniques as you want, depending on how much you want to learn new moves. But learning so many techniques will affect your attributes. Balance of training, sparring and learning moves is now critical in career mode. You are now allowed to choose what stance you want, southpaw or right handed, what your character will do while being introduced, what kind of stare-down, how he celebrates when he won and choose his pre-fight outfit (Shirt or gi, hat or cap).
Your character now starts from small time MMA bouts in WFA (World Fighting Alliance), and if you did well in WFA, Dana White will come to you and invite you to be in the UFC. If you’re successful in your division, you’ll be given a chance to fight to a higher division, offering you 1 super-fight or a permanent switch of division. You can choose if you want your fighter to become cocky or respectful by selecting a certain response in your interviews.
Things to improve:
All in all, UFC Undisputed 2010 is almost perfect and I don’t think EA Sports MMA game can top them, no, not this year. I give this game a 4.8 out of 5, an excellent game for fight fans.
