Men’s Fashion Tips: The Do’s and Don’ts

Women for all we know are ‘almost’ experts when it comes to dressing up, mixing and matching styles. They come well-coordinated, of which makes them appear more pleasing. Men, on the other hand, are more of simple kind. Easy, comfortable and basic clothing are what they look for and prefer to get themselves fitted in. Most of the time, men do not really think of how coordinated their shirts are with their pants or walking shorts, nor their belts to their shoes, as most women do. But like women, men should be educated for some fashion, so as to project better image, and that they don’t look odd.

It really wouldn’t matter if an event is a big or small one, whether you go malling or business presentations, your manner of clothing speak much of your being. You wouldn’t want to look bad at all, right? Here are basic rules in dressing up. Remember, it is not being metrosexuals, this is more of being real gentlemen! Make this your version of that little black book girls got on hand.

Tip #1.

If you are working, especially in top firms or where work entails you to face people, it’s a NO TO JEANS AND SNEAKERS. Yes, they are so comfortable to wear, yet they are not appropriate for the place. Your image here is a formal guy, a credible one, you can’t really reflect the image of a good company unless you reflect it from yourself.

Tip #2.

Ties are really guy’s best accessory. Any color would come great on a white top. You can also experiment on the colors and designs, ask your mom or girlfriend which suits your shirt best, after all, if you look handsome to them, then it’s sure to hit others as well!

Tip #3.

Don’t dwell too much white socks, they are mostly appropriate for sports or casual, but for work or formal events, a dark or black pair will appear best, you wouldn’t go moon walking, right?

Tip #4.

Comb your hair. Never leave the house with a messy look, a light gel or mousse will help you do the trick.

Tip #5.

Belt is a fashion instrument too. Go basic and when party calls for it, go on wild!

Tip #6.

For casual wear, shirts are good, printed or plain, just wear color that suits your skin tone, and size that does not look too big nor too tight on your body. You may be one of those with bulky built-up muscle but it really won’t appear nice to see them bulging on those tight armholes. You will just appear to be like sausages trying to squeeze out from your plastic wrappers! Dress your size, wear them comfortably and confidently.

Tip #7. Do spray or splash some perfume or cologne. It’s also one of the best dresses a man could ever wear, a gentle yet fragrant scent is all it takes to finish your get-up. When you want a longer-lasting scent, it is recommended that you use same-brand and variant of after-shave, cologne and lotion, if you use one. Don’t forget to also use mouthwash! It adds to coolness!

To dress right is to appear smart. It pays to be cautious at times, you’d rather be a talk of the town for the way you present intelligently of yourself than to be a fashion violator, right?
