Who is Naomi Watts?

Everybody just wondering who the real Naomi Watts is and how she bloomed into fine and good actress. Well, all I can say is that Naomi Watts was a simple girl born from a middle class family of English descent but migrated to Australia to establish their lives. Naomi’s father’s name was Peter, a sound engineer and road manager who work for Pink Floyd, who died when Naomi was just a small kid. Naomi’s mother’s name is Myfanwy, an interior designer and theatre actress. Naomi’s parents got divorced, and what she only left was her mother and a kid sibling named Ben. They were forced to move to her mother side’s grandparents in Wales during the turmoil in her younger life.

When Naomi Watts became a teenager around year 1982, she and her family moved to New South Wales in Australia. From there she took her first step to stardom. She went on drama and stage courses to improve her acting talent and was also got acquainted with also a well renowned Hollywood actress, Nicole Kidman.

Naomi Watts’ first movie was For Love Alone. After her debut film, she decides to switch to modeling for the meantime which lead her to Japan. She spent 4 short months in Japan then decided to go back to New South Wales in Australia because of loneliness. From then on she finalized herself not to do movies anymore. After more than a year, around 1987, she was placed for a stint as an advertiser of a mall which sells fashion items. Because of her perseverance, she became an assistant fashion editor for Follow Me, a well respected Australian fashion booklet.

About spring of 1989, Naomi Watts once again rose to have desire attending workshops for stage and film acting to enhance her acting talent. She gave up her publication job and did not come back. After several weeks, she was asked to do another film by director John Duigan whom she met through Nicole Kidman. She auditioned for film part in the movie Flirting. She passed for the role as third party between Thandie Newton and Nicole Kidman. Her second movie with director Duigan was Wide Sargasso Sea in 1993.

So it was the first month of 1993 when Naomi Watts decided to move to Los Angeles which eventually leads her to her first Hollywood movie. Done a bit role in a sitcom Matinee, Naomi Watts also stars with John Goodman. Two years after, she was then acted as Jet Girl in a comic book adaptation Tank Girl. The first 2 movies she made for Hollywood got cut from movie top grosser’s chart.

Now, jumping to October of 2001, after Naomi Watts done stints of bit roles, she made her lead performances to atop that started from the movie Mulholland Drive, from which she portrayed an ingénue female homosexual. Her landslide acting ability made her one of the most celebrated actresses that nobody would ever knew if she did not pursue her Hollywood career.
