Music Hit Lists

Rock, blues, metal, pop, sentimental and more – music definitely appeals to everybody. For the past decades, there has been a great boom in the music industry that’s being dominated by men. A lot of songs, singers and bands have become part of our daily listening pleasure, and it’s not only girls who get addicted to this. It’s amazing how men get creative over strings, drums, melodies and rhythms that original men’s songs are now also revived by girls!

To get a glimpse of what it has been for the past years and still, all-time favorites, a run-down of the best men’s hits is here. You’ll be surprised that some of them have been known because of revivals, but they really are hit singles of men…of maybe long ago. Music definitely sets the trend, see how coordinating they are!

  1. Born to Be Wild by Steppenwolf has set an original inspiration for the “tough guys” as you mostly picture the man singing here to be someone who wears leather get-up and dark shades!
  2. Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen kept the patriotic sentiment and at the same time the “scream” features that men love to shout on whenever they sing…well, for their added toughness, supposedly.
  3. You Shook Me All Night Long by the AC/DC has been a hit karaoke song as is followed the ‘Born in the USA’ screaming—this song definitely kept men on voiceless days after singing with all their hearts out!
  4. Don’t Stop Believing by Journey. Yep, you got that right! Today’s hit series Glee had it all popularized, and it’s originally a man’s rock song. See how guys can become inspiration for music even for teens and girls?
  5. (I can’t get no) Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones, which has been revived by Britney Spears is one of the hit dance-karaoke-selection of men. Another great tough song now enjoyed by all gender!

Of course, music is not all songs, the life could also be inspiration from the bands themselves, and it’s seemingly obvious that men crated history especially in the 90’s when Boy Bands sprung up like mushrooms! Nostalgic maybe, but those who are big solo stars now are creations of these boy bands that have been screamed after by girls all over the world! Although most got disbanded, there are still a handful of surviving groups:

  1. Top of the list is the phenomenon Backstreet Boys that started from 1997. They were known for dance hits and romantic songs such as Get Down, Quit playing Games (with my heart), and Backstreet’s Back.
  2. Another favorite is N*Sync where Justin Timberlake came from. Popular hits that they have are Pop, Bye Bye Bye, This I promise you and I want you back, to name a few. The group was formed in 1995.
  3. BoyzIIMen, a Philadelphian band formed in 1998 is still intact until today. Just recently, they had a concert in Asia. Still singing their timeless hits like Four Seasons of Loneliness, One Sweet Day and I’ll Make Love to You. They are still one of the top-selling R&B bands of today.

Aside these legendaries, there are newbies coming on stage and really, these men are getting music a lot better like Boyce Avenue, My Chemical Romance,  Dashboard Confessional and many others.
