Guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani is set to release his new studio album Black Swans and Wormhole Lizards on October 5th, 2010. The instrumentalist will once again showcase his incredible talent with 11 new instrumental tracks. He is accompanied by newcomers Mike Keneally on keyboards, Allen Whitman on bass and veteran bandmate Jeff Campitelli on drums. Fans can expect the follow-up to the 2008 album Professor Satchafunkilus and the Musterion of Rock to be filled with Satriani’s signature sound and style.
US residents will get a special bonus for pre-ordering Satch’s new album. Firstly, they get access to an exclusive pre-sale of tickets to the North American tour. They also get a digital download of the single Light Years Away. And probably the best bonus of all is the autographed copy of the new CD.
Satriani will be on the road for his European tour starting October 16th in Dublin, Ireland until November 22nd in Lisbon, Portugal. The North American tour will start on December 1st in Atlanta, Georgia until December 21st in Denver, Colorado.
